Yea, I also think the given excuse that Ibaka was not ready is a bunch of hooey. I have noticed Ibaka has not been getting much playing time for a few games now. It sems to be tied into the decision to keep playing Jeff at the 4 for 40 minutes or more and it is hurting Thunder and it is too small a line up and will continue to give up crucial rebounds down the stretch.
MartzMimic's comments make me wonder how much of the decision to play Jeff so much at the 4 is Kevin's influence.Thunder had been going to a bigger line up which includes Ibaka and another big man and were starting to show some real courage and tenacity inside. However we get a speec by coach about how he is going to stick with Jeff and Thunder has played mostly small ball since.
Yea, Jeff has played a little better (stat wise), but Thunder is simply too small and reduced to a jump shooting team.

Bah, long post got lost.

Been thinking about Maynor. If you look at the other teams at or above .500, I don't see Eric getting many more minutes, maybe 5-8, than he is now. And a lot of them have their own young point guards - Beaubois, Lawson, Dragic, Mills. Of the good teams who could use him - NOLA, Utah (would drafted him), Hawks - I can't see Presti paying for Jack, going back to Earl or even sniffing Teague.

If Eric becomes dissatisfied to the point of harming the team, or unless you have to take on a point guard as part of a trade, I say let's enjoy these next two-and-half seasons. Lord knows, last year showed us how quickly someone like Mike Wilks can become your backup.

Good bullets. I think the whole "Serge wasn't mentally ready" was horse crap. I think Ibaka's in the doghouse after making KD mad Friday night. And, you know, it's one thing to not box out Pau Gasol, but Mike freakin' Miller? In the clutch, the ball stops after almost every possession. I never see the Thunder rotate in their best defensive players to rebound. The most you'll ever see is that when the opponent has to foul, Brooks will put the best free-throw shooters on the floor. Otherwise, nary an adjustment is ever made.

Maynor, Harden, and the Clips 1st round pick should get us something decent. If Maynor is really irrelevant, and Brooks hates Harden, why not trade them both and insure yourself a decent big man.
