Except for the three point shooting–we played well. Both Nick and Serge played tough and gave us a chance. Four guys stepped up last night and competed in an elite setting on the national stage…Russ, KD, Serge and Nick. Jeff Green was invisible last night and neither James Harden or Thabo gave us anything at the two guard position. We can’t beat LA with Jeff Green and James Harden shooting like this from the perimeter. They had good looks and it had nothing to do with spacing—they just missed shots.

Bottom line is that we have three point shooters, they just don’t make them. Looking at the stat sheet, we were even with the lakers (even rebounding) except for 3 pointers. We shot 9% from downtown. If you remove the 3 pointer attempts KD and Jeff shot nearly 50% (james harden is a different matter, the league is too big too fast for him, can’t get his shot off).

Offense is bad because there is no floor spacing (no three point makers or post man). Scott brooks likes to play small because it works with our tempo , against smaller teams (also he is a george karl disciple). He doesn’t adjust against lakers because starters are used to playing with each other (and we loose).

If KD can defend shooting guards, green can defend small forwards we can play big and matchup well with lakers, otherwise it is a lost cause (and why is KD playing 39 minutes per game, no wonder he can’t play on both ends effectively). If it is not possible we need a shooting guard who can shoot and defend, move jeff to the bench.

If our big men don’t develop soon, it would be good to add pieces soon, you don’t want to spoil the wonder years of kd and russ. Look at portland they were young and then got injured and thats that. It is your move Presti.

We suck on offense. Idiotic, stupid plays, where we dribble the ball until there are 2 secs left on the shot clock and then jack something up. No movement. No brain power. Defense played well. Offense let us down. Can we get a new offense play caller for the Thunder. Let ‘em have it Darnell. Don’t let this team get away with their idiocy.
