how good will it be, if we can get dwight howard in free agency. espn speculated he would like to join lakers, (a big market) if orlando doesn’t win championship this year, but he would be smart to join thunder, definite championship team. starting lineup

russ thabo kd serge dwight

@Gamma
Yeah, that would be great, but OKC won’t have the money to pull that off. Wish they could.

@Darnell
The thing I noticed again last night is that everyone is overhelping on defense. They just don’t trust one another. The most vivid example I remember from last night was during the first half, KD was on someone up top. Thabo left his guy to cut off the dribble drive even though there was a defender in the low block. Kevin’s cover passed the ball to Thabo’s guy in the corner for a wide open 3-pointer.

Offensively, last night was a thing of beauty. The guys were moving, the passing was great and they did an awesome job of finding the open man. Green’s desperation shot was great, and he took advantage of the wide open looks when the ball rotated to him. I loved KD’s dish to Krstic, but my favorite may have been Nick’s drive to the rim. You usually don’t see those moves from our bigs.

And as much as I love watching Durant, I’ll still say Russ is the funnest player in the league. He was absolutely in God mode last night. I know he’s had even better games statistically like his 43-8-8 game at Indy, but wow…

[...] Darnell Mayberry: “As I wrote for Friday’s paper, this was a huge win. It can build confidence and perhaps begin to establish some consistency. The Thunder’s defense was better than the final score would indicate, and the offense looked incredible tonight. Most importantly, there were no dry spells, no prolonged letdowns that allowed Orlando to peel off costly runs. This was the Thunder’s most complete game, and it could have some carry over going into the second half of the season.” [...]
