@ Qrex You’re absolutely right. As soon as KD sat, the ball started moving better. And from that point on, it wasn’t an issue all night. That lead to the season-high 31 assists.

@MartzMimic What Thabo is saying is that Green and Krstic and Collison are fighting for rebounds. But they’re doing it by boxing out, which allowed him to get eight boards. A box out is often overlooked in favor of who actually gets the rebound. But the great thing about this Thunder team is it’s full of players who don’t care about who gets it. They just want to make sure that they’re doing the right things to stop the other team, especially their own man from getting it. -DM-

I noticed that about KD getting a breather early last night too. And he looked surprised when Thabo came in for him. Like, “Huh? Me?”. Haha. I was just bummed that KD and Russ both sat out the whole 4th cause of the blowout. Hurts their stats!

Its even tougher now for the Nets, that the Knicks are greatly improved. Nets had a chance to build their fan base while Knicks were down.

And it takes a player like Melo to get New Yorkers attention. They not going to be patient enough to grow a team.

You make a great point about OKC’s attendance, which follows on with something Darnell said recently. When you consider a sellout on a Wednesday against a bad team on the same night OSU is playing a bowl game, that’s really impressive.

It’s also worth noting that ESPN’s Bill Simmons was at the game last night, quietly sitting in the stands. Nobody would have known he was here if an observant fan hadn’t recognized him. While Simmons still won’t use the name “Thunder,” he’s got an admittedly large man-crush on KD, and he may have been the one person to predict more wins for the Thunder than Darnell.

How much of the Nets attempts at Melo, are because they have to compete in the NY sports market ? I saw a lot of young talent on the Nets last night.

In OKC, Presti can maintain his young talent and grow because the fan base will allow it and we’re still selling out the Arena.

I was pleased to see KD sit early. Not because of his play but rather that of the rest of the team. Whenever KD got the ball in the first, everyone seemed to stand around and watch for what might happen. At least when KD sat, they had to wake up and start playing.

It’s nice that Green is getting a few assists now, but kind of sad that even Thabo doesn’t expect Jeff to be fighting for rebounds.
