Hill is a PF-C tweener who may never be right on both offense and defense at either spot. His +/- is bad too. But he is cheap and can fill a few minutes so the Rockets will keep him for awhile and see if he gets better or not. The Thunder already has some of their own big man guesses / hopes. Not sure if either team will really hit a jackpot but you'd take alright over bad.

I wouldn't put Jordan Hill on a wish list because there is it not much reason Houston would make him available. If you want to steal a young big there are rare opportunities and Houston got the Knicks to do what most teams won't do.

[...] Darnell Mayberry’s postgame notes: “Luis Scola destroyed Serge Ibaka tonight. Assistant coach Mark Bryant should sit down with Ibaka after Thursday’s practice and pop in the tape from this one. Ibaka never could stay down on Scola’s shot fakes. It exposed everything that’s wrong with Ibaka’s position defense. Scola’s footwork is among the best in the business for big men. But it was shocking how much Ibaka struggled. Ibaka is great as a help defender. But he’s got a long way to go in man defense.” [...]

I saw at stat in the pre-game that the Thunder was 12-2 when leading after the first quarter and 5-6 when behind. I kept that in mind when the game started and found it interesting that last night's game was the first time this season OKC knotted the opening period.

Good call on Jordan Hill. I remember he was on the early wish list for the Thunder to draft, but no mention of him since then. I was impressed with his game last night.

Did you notice Kevin Martin, one of the top NBA free-throw shooters, went 3-for-6 from the line last night? I was happy to see him pick up his second foul in the first quarter. He looked like he was going to be deadly the way he started shooting. Thunder got on a roll when he went to the bench.

You guys should keep a scorecard of how often you write about an issue and then they come out in the next game and do something totally different. I know we've joked about it on live blogs in the past.

With that in mind, maybe the next time the Thunder finds themselves in Game Six of a playoff series facing elimination, you might consider writing something about how poorly the Thunder blocks out. Just sayin...
