[...] Darnell Mayberry’s notes from last night: “Durant’s eight-assist, zero-turnover performance was one of the night’s highlights. He made it a point to find his teammates tonight — and to correct the stat crew when they short-changed him an assist. Said Durant: “I’ve been working on that a lot. I’m noticing that if I start to pass the ball, points are going to come my way. Everything’s going to come back around.’” [...]

I was able to catch one or two of Serbia's games during FIBA, and it was kind of neat to see Krstic as one of their go-to guys. One thing I noticed last year, and expect to improve this year, was that if Westbrook was able to find Krstic early on in the game, they would both usually wind up having a good night.

As far as Green, I don't know that getting manhandled will "become a reoccurring theme." Several would say it already is. The Thunder loves the kid, and, heck, so do I. But if I were an opposing point guard trying to exploit the Thunder's weakest link, I'd be repeatedly feeding my power forward the ball. How much ink was there on whether or not Westbrook was really a point guard? Maybe the real conversation should have been, "Is Green really a power forward?"

Fortunately, the Thunder have another year to see whether Ibaka can continue to develop. If not, they'll really have to start looking for a long-term solution at power forward.
