As I said last week, we do not need 5 point-guards; but he should be one of them, for his rebounding, his defensive tenacity, and his warrior-spirit. What we need are some BIGS in this NBA that have the "Right Stuff". I am disappointed as can be in the collective apathy, fragility, and malaise that has seemingly sidelined all our BIGS. Where is David Robinson, or Patrick Ewing when you need them? They have been replaced by wimps.

I didn't see all of today's game, but apparently Westbrook had another solid performance against Spain. I saw a little of him in the second half, including a dazzling no-look pass to KD for a layup. on a fastbreak. He looked pretty good out there from what I saw.

The announcers said at one point they thought it was between Curry and Gordon for the final cut. I'm like Darnell, I had my doubts about Westbrook making the final cut last week, but after these two exhibition games, I think he may have played his way onto the team. I hope so. As for Rose getting cut, I'm no expert but I don't think there's the slightest chance of that happening. I don't know who it will be, but I'd bet money, and a lot of it, that it won't be Rose. He and Rondo are apparently going to be the primary point guards for this team.

Looks like odd man out is Rose. Rose is a great player, but of the six guards and with what Westbrook has shown - lock down defense, in rhythm offense, Russell would be the better choice. Billups is shoo-in; Rondo's great pg skills & defense; Gordon's offense and physical defense and scoring wonder Curry who also got pg nose, Rose is it. Just my take.

Re: the announcers. Why? If the NBA or ESPN they wanted to try harder to make these games irrelevant by bringing two worse hacks they wouldn't be able to find them. They make John Miller and Joe Morgan look like Saturday Night Live performers. Horrible and boring and a huge mistake!

Ikeep hearing Fran Frascilla (spelling?) say that Rose is made for FIBA basketball but he hasn't impressed me yet. Russ is more phisical and frankly mentally tougher than any PG on the roster except for Chauncy. If he gets cut its because of shooting. Although Rose isn't much of an outside threat either.
