@MartzMimic … PA announcer using “Thunder Up” as a chant only lasted about two games, early last season. It was obvious that it was best used outside the “game chant” realm.
Also, I think the game ops staff is VERY conscious of NOT creating buzz kills at certain pivotal “high energy” moments. A lot of the criticism of the drummers is extremely petty, unfounded, and another typical example of people becoming spoiled and “snooty” about their Thunder already. Not all 18,000 in the house are going to like EVERY aspect of the night, because we’re all flawed humans. Deal with it.

last years group couldn’t keep a beat if ya hit on the head with one of their lame drumsticks. And Darnell is exactly right “What the hell just happened?” is FREQUENTLY the reaction.

Rumble aside, the Drummers better get some rhythm or get the some lessons and rehearse–as a group–so they play together.

I thought Rumble the Bison is a drummer. Did you see Rumble picking his nose at the end? That is the only part of the drum skit I would like to skip.

I like the drummers, but will agree that they would be best during the first half. I will just be happy if they and the PA announcer realize that “Thunder Up” just doesn’t work as a chant.

I think they should bring the Jazzercise folks out in the fourth quarter.

I thought it was common in the NBA to have a drum group. Does not Cuban have drummers at the Mav’s games ? I’m almost sure he does.

Awww, the Drummers aren’t THAT bad! As a proud member of Loud City, I like when they are up with us getting cheers going. They are one of the few to come see Loud City.

When was the last time you came up to say hello?????
