First off, the combined apathy, fragility, and general lack of “the right stuff” which has infected this Nation’s “BIGS” is….underwhelming. I cannot believe that Tyson Chandler is the only Big Man that will man up in a Big way. I think you are right about too many point-guards, but Westbrook should stay in the mix; as Brandon said fro rebounding, and also for his sticky defense, athleticism, and warrior spirit.

What does Russ bring that the other guys don’t? Rebounding from the PG position. With all this talk of being undersized, having a 1 that can get 8 boards a game could be really valuable. He brings size and strength to a team that desperately needs it. Not to mention he already has an invaluable rapport with Team USA’s best player.

Russell Westbrook has been playing really well through out the whole evaluation process , personally I think Russell should make the team because he probably will have a good shot at making future USA squads . He’ll be a complete ball-hawk when called upon and he’s only 21 years old with completely raw athletic ability basically , the sky is the limit for this young man .

While you bring up a good point, it seems like Coach K is pretty pleased with Westbrook’s defense. I kind of think Eric Gordon may be the final one cut.
