I believe Durant will get his chance to meet the President, but this wasn’t the right time or event. Perhaps in 2 years he’ll be standing on the White House steps and Obama will be congratulating him on his NBA Championship. Stay hungry, Durant, we as a team, still aren’t at the top of the mountain yet. We’re still struggling to find footholes, hoping the weather doesn’t change, and no one gets hurt along the way. I’ll bet Obama would like to meet you, but he’d probably want to spend more time than this event afforded talking with you.

Not an issue. First off, the whole state doesn’t hate Obama. Secondly, i’m sure Derrick Rose was invited only because he plays for the president’s favorite team…

Who cares. KD doesn’t dance around in the spotlight like LeBron, Kobe and some of these other idiots. He just puts his head down and works. That’s all we need to be concerned about.

if durant is not invited then he is not invited. if durant wanted to be invited, how come stars such as brandon roy, deron williams, dwight howard, or even the washington wizards rookie pick john wall?

i hate how the newsok make it such a big deal.

Obama heard he was from Oklahoma and decided immediately to not invite him, seeing as our whole state hates B. Hussein Obama.
