Sam Presti has done a great job and I hope he's here for a long time. Yeah--the challenges in somehow figuring to keep this team intact will be profound, but it's been an absolute education watching Sam Presti put this thing together. When he drafted Serge--I was like why did he just waste that draft choice. Sam Presti knew what he was doing and he very much made the right call on the recision of the Tyson Chandler deal. I love watching the guy work his craft--it's almost as much fun as watching the games. Hope he likes it here.

Most of this article makes sence except the last paragraph. The Blazers are actually in a better spot as far as contract extensions are concerned. With 5 of this teams core players needing a contract extentions within the next 3 years this team will also be well over the cap, and in the luxury tax, possibly next year. Portland can do this, the thunder can't and never will be able to. Don't be surprised if Presti takes the raise and moves to a team that can spend the money it takes to win a championship, before this team gets torn apart because they can't afford to sign all in this talented group.
