I'd like that but Haywood wont be cheap, he's a free agent and probably the best UFA center in this years class. I think Dallas will cut or trade Dampier to have the money to sign Haywood. I'd love to have Haywood but i think getting into a bidding war with Dallas is unlikely.

What about Brendon Haywood instead? The Mavs' head coach Rick Carlisle wants Erick Dampier to start, not Haywood, and this year, Haywood earns $6M, not twice as much as Damp. The Thunder's best bet is to acquire B-Wood for cheep.

Robert Vaden went overseas and averaged 16 ppg in Italy while shooting 40% percent, he can really shoot the ball, hopefully he's improved on his defense.

Overall i still see Presti making a trade or signing to get some more size, Not very expensive or long in years but i still see that happening. Dampier could be someone that gets a look, his contract is not guaranteed because he didnt meet the required mins so Dallas can cut him with no penalty. They have a payroll of 84 million next season w/o Haywood and cutting Dampier would free up 13 million. I'd say that has a real strong possibility of happening and i could see Damp as a solid stop gap to Mullens.

I hate to tell you, but the summer of 2011, when Kevin Durant (and possibily Jeff Green) has his max extension, that's it; game over with free agents. We will be over the salary cap and have no money to offer them. It's this year or no year.
