Congrats to Scott Brooks for getting the nod for NBA coach of the year.
HOWEVER:
We have better players. But we're being out-coached. Our coaches should be able to quicker analyze what's going on and make faster adjustments.

Jackson is one heck of a good coach. He's the one eating our lunch right now. Man for man, our players are better than the Lakers. Including Kobe, KD can better him on any day.

If our coaches don't get smarter real quick, we're gonna get our butt stomped on like a chicken on a junebug.

I would start Serge Ibaka at the 5, in place of Nenad Krstic. Even thought Ibaka is an inch shorter than Krstic, Ibaka's wingspan makes up for it, and Ibaka's vertical jump is a plus (Krstic is too slow and can't jump). And Ibaka is quicker and more aggressive than Krstic, and Ibaka takes flap from nobody. I would rather start Ibaka in place of Krstic than Jeff Green (during the series, Green is the 3rd highest scorer for the Thunder, behind Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, and Green is mainly a clutch player).

I guess this nervousness is to be expected when the first games are being played against the overwhelmingly experienced Lakers at their home where it is no blood, no foul. This should be different in OKC. The real problem though is the terrible match up with whoever Green has. He is too small and too unaggressive to play against Gasol and not good enough to guard Kobe. Fiteen rebounds over his last 5 games and his terrible shooting is hurting the Thunder. Plus, he is not a good passer.

I would be shocked if he starts next year but Brooks won't change anything this series even though he should start Ibaka. My guess is that his man either Gasol in the first half and Kobe in the second outscored him by 25 points. Brooks should have yanked him and put in Thabo down the stretch.
