MartzMimic, although Chris Bosh is above David Lee, I say barely. Even though Bosh has more points, Lee has more rebounds, and again, both barely. The main difference is Bosh has more blocks than Lee.

As for Presti, he can make the same offer this year than last (~$10-11M?), and this year Lee will be an unrestricted FA (last year Lee would be a restricted FA, which means New York might match what the Thunder would offer Lee and keep him with the Knicks). And according to a New York magazine, Lee likes the possibility of him joining with the young Thunder players. But I agree with you; the odds are Presti won't sign Lee.

@Nunya
I agree that Ibaka shows great promise, but to characterize Chris Bosh as a choker is laughable. In the last 24 seconds of one possession games this year, Bosh is 4-4. It is baffling why the Raptors aren't better than they are with Bosh, Bargnani and Turk (who's played like warmed-over doggie poo this year), but I don't think you can lay all the blame at Bosh's feet.

@Thomas
I'm intrigued with Lee, but it's not likely Presti will go after him. As a second-tier free agent, he'll likely get a substantial offer. The Thunder could have signed him to a multi-year contract last summer as a restricted free agent, probably in the $10-11 million per year range. It's not likely that the Knicks would have matched it and wrecked their plans to bring in two max players this summer. If Presti didn't take him at a "bargain" price, I can't see him paying substantially more this year.

Darnell, you haven't seen the entire game, or the entire season (only 1 play). I will say Serge Ibaka (or "Iblocka") is the best post player we have. However, at the game, the dunk in question is the only points he has. The other attempts (4) are misses. The entire game, Ibaka shot 1-5, grab 5 boards, and block 2 shots, in 15 1/2 minutes, not 9 1/2. The 2nd half (6 min), he was statless. In twice as much game time, Chris Bosh shot 7-14 (better PPM and %), grab 10 boards (same RPM), and block 1 shot (Ibaka was better). This season, Ibaka has 5.7ppg, 5.0rpg, and 1.0bpg. Bosh has 23.9ppg, 11.1rpg, and 1.0bpg. Adding David Lee, Lee has 20.1ppg, 11.7rpg, and 0.5bpg. The main point is if Bosh or Lee (Lee is cheaper and has a better attitude) is offered this summer, I will grab either (both are FAs), make adjustments, and be very, very happy (we need an inside scorer).

Hang on to Ibaka! What you don't see because you don't see many Raptor games is that Bosh is a classic choker who plays great when nothing is on the line and when the competition is not the best. He's a stat-padder on a bad team, not the dominant big man that would really make a difference on an already awesome team.

The other teams in the league can have our fans and our team for that matter. Neither party watches other basketball teams and have no idea what is going on in the NBA!If they did,then the expectation and standard would be higher. I said in October I hoped OKC would be in the post season over teams like the Suns and now, they can grab home court!!! WOW!! Go OKC!!
