A New Ford Center Scoreboard

The Ford Center will have a new scoreboard in place by the time the Thunder hits the court for the 2009-10 season.
By the looks of it, the $3.9 million scoreboard will be a pretty nice upgrade over the current scoreboard.
The thing that caught my eye is the tilted video screens that angle down toward the court. According to the Thunder’s press release, the design is unique to the Thunder and, really, I don’t remember seeing that feature in any other NBA arena. It should really help fans seated closest to the court.
But judging by the preliminary images, one thing fans might have to get used to is what looks to be a higher and smaller listing of the players on the court, their points and fouls.
The picture should be much clearer and bigger, though, and all in all it looks to be a very nice addition and one of the many upgrades that will help put the Ford Center on par with many of the best NBA arenas.
