it’s like i’ve said before, if you had put as much energy into getting the citizens of seattle to attend games as you spend trying to belittle oklahoma city’s team, it might still be yours. being third from last in attendance doesn’t send much of a message. and before you start crying about bennett submarining the team, let me ask you what the players thought of playing to small home crowds. say what you want about okc and how the ford center got filled every night (corporate giveaways, cheap tickets), the point is that it was filled. the hornets weren’t very good their first season in okc, but people still went. we didn’t give up and make excuses.

will oklahoma city ever land an a-list free agent? probably not.
will oklahoma city ever finish third from last in attendance? no.
