very well documented DM. Let's hold hope,
But honestly, Im hopeful that the Hornets will return to OKC.
Given the attendance situation in New Orleans perhaps it will be known by April that the mark wont be met, even should there be perfect attendance next year. Then, perhaps the BOG might be inclined to allow Bennett to relocate to OKC but have him and Shinn to "swap" franchises.
Let Shinn IN Seattle to figure that out (or sell) and let Bennett settle with LA and move the Hornets BACK where they belong in Oklahoma City.
Having the Hornets in OKC - where the market already exists, where the name could remain (since it 'fits' or at least sounds good), where games could still be marketed in LA, where geographically there would be no changes made to the NBA division alignments, the fact that New Orleans just isn't a NBA city (its an NFL city!!! and Saints to be specific). .....
Anyways, nicely written thread, im holding out hope - for all involved.

(<em>Amazing how many different ways it can play out isn't it? Seems like a lot of people share your preference of the Hornets rather than the Sonics. I think the biggest hurdle to that happening is George Shinn's refusal to sell his team. -DM-</em>)
