I like the beer. Most beers make my stomach upset or gives me gas really bad. This beer, Third Shift, is tasty, and isn't filling like most beers. I wish more stores carried the brand. I tasted Rolling Rock and it is bad. Had I known it ws from Busch I would never had bought it.
Third Shift is great beer.

I totally agree.

As an avid craft beer drinker that shy's away from IPAs especially palate wrecking IPAs. It seems like American Craft Brewers are trying to cram more and more IBUs into each and every beer instead of creating balanced IPAs (which I can enjoy). I know ambers, browns, wheats and pilsners aren't as exciting to some brewers but that's what gateway beers tend to be.

As I share my passion with my non craft beer friends, they've all had their share of palate wreckers and it's difficult to get them back into it when there is that premium price. I think the biggest thing that the craft beer community do is inform. To bud light drinkers there is domestic and craft beer. To a craft beer drinker there is domestic and then there is 71+ styles of beer that each one is more different then the other. Will everyone like them all? No way. If the craft beer community can inform which beers are more newbie friendly, and where to start, the growth will be there.

My gateway beer was Fat Tire, and I've been very fortunate to find people that can steer me toward great beers based on my tastes and I've done my best to do the same to others that are new to craft beer.

this beer not only sucks ballz, and is overhyped, but they do not temper bottles right, the cheap bastards..someone greased a pocket somewhere to get a gold medal, as its passed off by coors miller as a Micro Brew
Hah!
as if it could compete with any other micro brews..if this is a micro beer,so is labbatt blue...Actually bought this beer exited, went home drank one and set in fridge, came back and the cheap bastards temper bottles so lightly that 5 of six busted at bottom of bottle due to temp change, leaving me with a big mess to clean up for not that good of a beer at all..I will never buy this beer again!

Ever had Miller? Buy this stuff and you will have paid $10 for a six pack of it. Has that strange after taste you can only get with a cheap beer brewed by Miller. Tastes like it was brewed by a bunch of Miller's union worker brewers who were upset about working a third shift!

I recently came across this beer in Longview, Tx., I felt like trying something new, so I did. I've had over 250 different brews of all types and used to have them all rated. I like many types but I lean to Scottish, Belgian, and English beers. I enjoyed this beer and it would make my top 100 but probably not top 40. One thing I noticed to get the flavor out of this beer it should never be drank ice cold. slightly colder than room temp and the taste just fills your mouth. It is malty and sweeter like a Scots beer but is also creamy and full bodied, I would drink it again. I'm a bit surprised it is made by Miller/Coors, I despise Miller Lite and Coors Light but some one over there has some taste, hope he wasn't fired!

My grocery store has this on the shelf for $7 and change. So I thought I'd give it a try. Meh. Didn't care much for it.

So this morning I read that it's a Miller product. Damn, there should be a warning label.

I can't clear this stuff through my kidneys fast enough.
