Prairie Artisan Ales takes stab at Kickstarter success
In the past few months, we’ve seen two Oklahoma beer companies try their hand at Kickstarter funding campaigns — both failed to find success.
Maybe the third time is the charm, because a Kickstarter effort by Prairie Artisan Ales appears well on its way to complete funding.
Prairie is seeking $10,000 to help set up its new brewhouse. Here’s a blurb from their project page:
We have decided to do a Kickstarter campaign to help with the costs involved in our 100% oak aged facility. We have purchased a brewhouse, but still need fermenters, conditioning tanks, hoses, fittings. All the little odds and ends that go into a brewery. Our goal is to be filling barrels with beer in our own facility by late summer.
As of Thursday morning, the project had 67 backers pledging $8,175. And that’s with 28 days to go.
It helps, of course, to have four $1,000 pledges. What do those people get in exchange for their donation? How about a beer named after them!
Other prizes range from a simple thank you on Facebook to shirts and glassware to having a tank named after you.
