Voting begins today in 5th annual Beer Championship Series

Happy Monday beer fans, and welcome to the opening day of the 2012 Thirsty Beagle Beer Championship Series! Voting is now open in the battle to determine which brew will claim the Golden Taphandle Trophy and the title as Oklahoma’s favorite beer.

Before we get to the ground rules, I have to announce a minor tweak to the bracket. It seems even the best Beer Selection Committee can make a mistake, and we did that by placing a beer in the bracket that isn’t quite in circulation yet. Needless to say, the error has been corrected and a new beer is in place.

Moving on, the rules for voting are simple: You can vote for any one beer up to 10 times per day. Voting will close for the day at 9 p.m. Easy enough, right? Now, let’s get on with the competition! You can see the bracket right here, and the polls are below.

Oro De Calabaza for President!

How does Huebert Chocolate Mint Stout get put on any beer bracket? Busch League!

How does Mustang even get on here to begin with? They’re a disgrace to Oklahoma microbrews.

It seemed some of the brackets were a bit unfair.

I concur– Mustang is nothing but very average beer, contract brewing, and false advertising.

Huebert’s Chocolate Mint Stout is great! Why isn’t it in the voting poll anymore?

What is the deal here, it showed Huebert with a lead and now nothing? Its 1 of the best breweries around. They have GREAT beer and yet I don’t see any of Hueberts’ brews on there. NOT COOL… I think someone is favoring the big dogs but thats just my opinion, oh wait there is others that feel the same way. Hmmm what does that tell ya?

WTF!!! I agree Chris, I’ve just recently became a fan of hueberts brews and I find it rather confusing that when I voted last night Huebert was on there and now I cant find anything about it. I honestly think it was rigged, but what do I know I’ve only been a beer consumer FOREVER. HUEBERT BREWERY ALL THE WAY!!

Yea i was wondering bout that myself. Where are the results from yesterday? Why cant we see them? Shouldn’t Huebert be on there somewhere? I don’t see them, Makes ya wonder…..

Hello all: It appears that an Internet/blog glitch made the Boulevard Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale vs. Huebert Chocolate Mint Stout match-up not show up for a short period of time. The poll, now closed, should now be restored. While Chocolate Mint Stout did not win that match-up, Huebert still has three additional beers in the bracket. Thanks for alerting me to the issue. Cheers!
