Beer news report: Sept. 11
Plenty of goings on in the Oklahoma beer world…
-Looks like the brewery ranks in Oklahoma will continue to swell. Say hello to Prairie Artisan Ales, of Tulsa, and Roughtail Brewing Co., of Oklahoma City.
-Reservation slots are almost full for a trio of Mustang Brewing beer dinners/food pairings next week. More details right here.
-McNellie’s OKC has scheduled a Unibroue Beer Dinner for Sept. 25. Reserve your spot by emailing jenny.price@mcnellies.com.
-McNellie’s Tulsa is hosting its third annual Harvest Beer Festival on Sept. 22. Looks like a nice lineup of beer is in store.
-Pete’s Place/Choc has scheduled an Oktoberfest beer dinner for 7 p.m. Sept. 28. The cost is $45 and reservations can be made by calling (918) 423-2042.
-Marshall Brewing is sponsoring an Oktoberfest Celebration at Fassler Hall on Oct. 5-6. Prost!
-TapWerks is offering a couple football-related specials this fall: 10 hot wings and a 22 oz. Boulevard Wheat for $10 during all NFL games, and $2 Miller Lights and half off wings and nachos during Monday Night Football.
-COOP’s JD Merryweather is a candidate in an Oklahoma City photo contest. I’m not really sure what this is about, but go ahead and vote beer!
-The famous/infamous Freddy at the Biergarten in Jenks reports the latest offering from Leinenkugel is in liquor stores now — Lemon Berry Shandy. (On a side note, I had a fling with Summer Shandy once upon a time. It came on strong and flamed out fast. Take that for what it’s worth.)
