Oklahoma beer scene on fire next two weeks
Plenty going on this week and next on the Oklahoma beer scene. Like, a lot.
-Tonight is the official debut of Marshall Brewing’s 2012 summer seasonal, Arrowhead Pale Ale. You can find details at this blog post.
-Tonight is also the launch party for 2012 Wild Brew Rye Saison, a collaboration between Choc Beer and the Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers. More information on that event is available right here.
-In addition, liquor stores across the state should now have Wild Brew in stock.
-The McNellie’s OKC Firkin Friday this week is from Choc, and they’re calling it Black Summer — a blend of Summer Ale and a stout. Word on the street is that it’s “pretty damn tasty.”
-The Firkin Friday next week (June 15) at McNellie’s OKC will feature a cask from Redbud.
-Over at McNellie’s Tulsa, the Firkin Thursday this week will feature Marshall and will be followed next Thursday by a firkin from Choc.
-Oklahoma City’s officials release party for Arrowhead Pale Ale will be June 14 at TapWerks. TapWerks will then turn around and host another official release party on June 15 for Anthem Brewing.
-McNellie’s OKC has announced a Chimay beer dinner on June 19. The dinner is $50 and includes four courses. Email jenny.price@mcnellies.com to book your spot.
-Henry Hudson’s locations are running a June special on Mustang Brewing beer: $3.25 for a bottle of Washita Wheat or Summer Lager.
