COOP Ale Works selected for Savor 2012
Huge news for COOP Ale Works: The Oklahoma City brewery has been selected to pour at Savor 2012, which is quickly becoming one of the biggest craft beer events in the nation.
COOP will pour DNR (paired with roasted beet and chevre tartlet, sherry gastrique) and Native Amber (paired with Salt cod fritters, malt vinegar gastrique).
Savor is self-described as an American craft beer and food experience, and if COOP’s pairings are any indication, that’s probably accurate. The event is June 8-9 in Washington, D.C., and features more than 70 breweries from across the country — including all of the heavy-hitters of the craft beer world.
The beer and food menu is pretty insane, if you like great beer and exotic-sounding food offerings.
Anyway, you might think it would be cool to go to Savor, and you’d be right. But you’ll also be out of luck, since the $120-a-pop tickets sold out quickly after going on sale last week.
Nevertheless, good luck to COOP and congrats on giving Oklahoma craft beer a good name on the national stage!
