BCS polls close after second day of voting
Results are in for the second day of voting in round one of the TapWerks Beer Championship Series, and it was a rough day for Oklahoma beer. In-state beers that found themselves on the short end were Choctoberfest, Mustang Washita Wheat and Bricktown 46-Star Oklahoma Amber Ale. Waving the state flag proudly were Choc’s flagship beer, 1919, and Redbud Pale Ale. Here are the results:
-Spaten Oktoberfest (61 percent) def. Mustang Washita Wheat (39 percent)
-Goose Island 312 (52.5 percent) def. Pilsner Urquell (47.5 percent)
-Duvel (67 percent) def. Choctoberest (33 percent)
-Guinness (59 percent) def. Abita Turbodog (41 percent)
-Redbud Pale Ale (62 percent) def. Left Hand Sawtooth Ale (38 percent)
-Hoegaarden (60 percent) def. Bricktown 46-Star Oklahoma Amber Ale (40 percent)
-Choc 1919 (80 percent) def. Moosehead (20 percent)
-Spaten Optimator (67 percent) def. Boulevard Wheat Beer (33 percent)
