Choc to unveil new seasonal beer tonight

Choc Beer Co. will offer up its latest new brew at the Firkin Friday at 6 p.m. tonight at McNellie’s OKC. Choc’s American Stout will replace last year’s Baltic Porter as the brewery’s winter seasonal. Choc reports that the American Stout is well-hopped and roasty while being a little more sessionable than the Baltic Porter was.

The American Stout offered up tonight will be a dry-hopped version, using centennial and citra hops. I don’t know about you, but a dry-hopped stout sounds like an excellent idea!

I’m also told that a version of the American Stout will be what Choc offers at the International Stout Day celebration Nov. 3 at TapWerks. Yet another reason to mark that event on your calendar, as if an international day of beer celebration on its own wasn’t enough to convince you.
