Beer of the Night: March 4 (Vol. 2)

You know, there’s having a beer. And then there’s experiencing a beer. Welcome to Beer of the Night Vol. 2: Choc Oak Aged Belgian-Style Quad.

I’m not going to waste any time here, people. Let’s get right to the point of this blog post: Choc’s Oak Aged Quad is outstanding. You need to drink it immediately. That’s all I have to say on this matter.

OK, not really, I have more to say. Drinking this beer was like a beer experience. You take a sip, and you think, “Man, that’s good. I better take another sip to confirm that.” So you take another sip. You think, “Yes! That is really good. The only appropriate action would be for me to take another sip.” You do that. Then your glass is empty. You re-fill it. The whole sequence repeats itself. Now your bottle of OAQ is empty. And you think, “Hot damn! That was really good!” No exaggeration. That’s the way I felt tonight. I don’t know if any words I can type will adequately do the OAQ justice. The aroma: inviting. The taste: warm and welcoming. Just a little bit of sweetness, probably from the oak. This was an incredibly smooth beer. Tonight, I was No. 210 of 1,080. My advice? Get yourself a number.
