BCS Elite Eight is set!
It was a fierce day of voting in the Sweet 16 of the Beer Championship Series, but we have once again cut the field in half, from 16 beers down to the remaining survivors, the Elite Eight. We had several extremely close matches; overall this was the most hotly contested day of competition we’ve had this year. Here is the updated bracket. And here are Monday’s winners:
Oklahoma City Region
-Marshall McNellie’s Pub Ale – 51 percent, Choc Miner Mishap – 49 percent
-COOP F5 IPA – 51 percent, Choc Waving Wheat – 49 percent
Krebs Region
-COOP DNR 62 percent, La Fin Du Monde – 38 percent
-Choc Signature Dubbel – 65 percent, Sam Adams Octoberfest – 35 percent
Metro Region
-COOP Native Amber – 55 percent, Orval Trappist Ale – 45 percent
-Mustang Washita Wheat – 61 percent, Marshall Atlas IPA – 39 percent
Tulsa Region
-Choctoberfest – 55 percent, Marshall Big Jamoke – 45 percent
-COOP Zeppelin German Wheat – 54 percent, Marshall Sundown Wheat - 46 percent
