Pair of beer deadlines near
Time is running out for beer fans on a couple fronts. First, today is the last day to vote in the Southwest Conference of the Beer Championship Series. The BCS is held each year to decide the winner of the title of Oklahoma’s favorite beer. We’ve had voting in 17 conferences so far; the top two beers in each conference automatically advance to the 64-beer bracket where head-to-head matches will determine the overall champion. In our 18th conference, the Southwest Conference, we’ve got a tight race right now between Shiner Blond and Santa Fe Chicken Killer Barley Wine. You can cast your vote right here.
Secondly, tomorrow (Friday) is the last day to purchase tickets for the upcoming Wild Brew beer event for the price of $50. Starting Saturday, tickets go up to $55. Wild Brew is scheduled for July 31 in Tulsa. For more information, go to www.wildbrew.org.
