Marshall, Choc, COOP to join forces for beer dinner

It’s a first in the history of the Oklahoma beer scene: a collaborative beer dinner featuring not one, not two, but three Oklahoma breweries joining forces for the good of beer-mankind. The first Oklahoma Brewmaster’s Dinner is set for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at Iron Starr Urban Barbecue, 3700 N Shartel Ave. Tickets are $50 a pop and can be purchased by calling 524-5925. The menu looks outstanding and features COOP’s Oktoberfest with the first course, Choc’s Last Laugh with the second course, Marshall’s McNellie’s Pub Ale with the third course and the Choc-Marshall collaboration Wild Brew with dessert. Hot damn! Choc’s Micheal Lalli, COOP’s Chase Healey and Marshall’s Eric Marshall will be in attendance. More information can be found by clicking right here.

It’s a great thing to see happen in OK, but not the first time. McNellie’s OKC held an Oklahoma Beer Dinner a couple of months ago featuring COOP, Mustang, Choc and Battered Boar. Chase Healy (COOP), Zach Prichard (Choc), Gary Shellman (Mustang) and I were there. Each food item was prepared especially for the coinciding beer. Some items even used the beer as one of the ingredients.

The Oklahoma craft beer scene is definitely on its way up!

Thanks Tim, I stand corrected. It’s definitely a fun time for a beer lover in Oklahoma!
