Beer news report: June 3

Quick reminder: today is the last day to vote in the Megabrew Conference of the Beer Championship Series. You can surf on over right here and cast your vote. Right now we have a close race between Budweiser and Coors Original.

Now on to some beer news:

-Mustang Brewing reports that more then 1,100 cases of Mustang beer were sold in May, with more than 500 of those being Washita Wheat.

-COOP Ale Works tweeted this week that plans remain on track to have 16-oz. cans of Horny Toad Cerveza and Native AmberĀ in liquor stores in the first half of July.

-In other COOP news, as of this morning there were only a few spots left for COOP’s five-beer pig dinner tonight at The Tasting Room. You can reach The Tasting Room at 604-3015. You can see the pig below, courtesy of the artistic camera work of COOP’s JD Merryweather.
