Happy Monday to everyone. Hope the weekend was enjoyed by all and you got to sample a few tasty seasonal beers to get ttbbcsyou in the holiday spirit. We’re half-way done the first round of match-ups in the BCS. Here’s how the bracket shapes up at this point. We’re going to go through another eight battles today. Remember, you can post your votes in the comments section, or you can e-mail your picks to thethirstybeagle@yahoo.com. Voting will end at 10 p.m. central time.

Here’s what we have:

Oklahoma Region: Bison American Wheat (Bricktown Brewery) vs. Marshall Sundown Wheat (Tulsa); and Rock Island Rail Ale (Bricktown) vs. Land Run Lager (Bricktown).

International Region: Taj Mahal Lager (India) vs. Labatt Blue (Canada); and James Boag (Australia) vs. Modelo (Mexico).

USA Region: Pyramid Apricot Ale (Seattle) vs. Leinenkugel Origianl (Wisconsin); and Full Sail Pale Ale (Oregon) vs. Miller Lite (Milwaukee).

Europe Region: Amstel (Holland) vs. Spaten Optimator (Germany); and Bass (England) vs. Carlsberg Pilsner (Denmark).
