For all you Harry Potter fans, I hope you enjoy the sixth installment in the movie series. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out tomorrow. (And we here at Pet Show call him Hairy Pawter.) Take your dog to work tomorrow

If I brought my dogs to work on National Take Your Dog to Work Day, they’d probably just nap and beg for food. In no way would they help out by contributing to this blog or doing any of my daily work.

So they’ll stay home tomorrow. For those of you who are lucky enough to be able to take your pups to work, enjoy the best holiday ever! Let’s celebrate with lolcats. Or in this case, some loldogs, too.

It’s hard for me to even contain how excited I am by a new partnership between one of the Petshow blogs’ favorite time wasters, icanhascheezburger.com, and Petfinder.com, a Web site that helps people find shelter pets to adopt.

The two are teaming up to help find homes for shelter kitties as part of Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month. For the next two weeks, visitors to Petfinder.com can add lolcat-style captions to photos of various kittehs on the site. The most popular photos and captions will be featured on icanhascheezburger.com each day.

Organizers behind the two sites hope the additional attention generated by the contest will help many lolsheltercats find homes. We at the Petshow blog wish them luck.

Step 1: Get hungry.

Step 3: Tell them when you order your helping the Oklahoma Humane Society!
Step 4: Eat.
