Smiling pups make it on scratchers front

Apparenlty, if you’re a beagle named Hank, you’re a handsome fella.

Ten Oklahoma dogs, including two beagles named Hank, are featured on the new Oklahoma Lottery scratch-off ticket, Lucky Dog.  The tickets are for sale beginning today. Owners of the 10 dogs each won a $200 gift card to PetSmart.

In addition to the Hank beagles, Huskies also won the day. The breed is repersented twice on the card. Skiatook and Broken Arrow were big winners, too. The cities had two pups apiece on the ticket.

The lucky winners:

- Erin, a Corgi from Tulsa

Orie, the Border Collie/Brittany featured on the scratchoff ticket, is my baby girl. Her and her sister Onyx (Onyx was featured on the scratchoff last year) are beautiful, smart, loving dogs that are also shelter dogs. They were left for dead on a dirt road with their mom as pups in a winter storm, nope not making it up. The overpopulation of dogs and cats is nothing less than an epidemic. Please consider adopting you next family member and let’s put an end to puppymills and backyard breeding. Shelter dogs are not damaged, they are wonderful dogs that just had a rough start, and they deserve another chance at a good life.
