Polar Bear Mystery Solved

Perhaps some zookeepers in Japan should do a little more investigation before their next attempt at baby polar bears.

Zookeepers at Kushiro Municipal Zoo in Hokkaido in northern Japan were disappointed that there was a lack of chemistry between Tsuyoshi, a four-year-old polar bear, and his 11-year-old female partner, Kurumi, after the two failed to breed.

That prompted a check and keepers discovered that Tsuyoshi was a female. Apparently, keepers got it wrong when they decided Tsuyoshi was a male three months after she was born.

I guess Tsuyoshi always knew what was going on. Now others are in on the secret.
