Pet Show Cohosts Talk about World Rabies Day

Listen to this week’s Pet Show to hear co-hosts Bryan Dean and Dawn Marks and guest host Nick Trougakos talk with our veterinarian Zac Coldiron about World Rabies Day. Bryan’s news items included a Labrador who was hit by a train but was saved because heat from the train sealed the wounds and a flying fish breaking the jaw of a boy in Arkansas. At the end of the show, Nick gave us some tips from the American Veterinary Medical Association about what to do if your dog bites someone or you are bitten by a dog like:

- restraining the dog immediately

- giving the person information about your dog’s vaccinations

- checking the victim’s condition

- consulting your veterinarian.
