Weekend Events

Dog lovers can find a couple of events this weekend in Edmond and Norman.

The Krazy Kids Dog Show and Expo will start at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 20 at Bickham-Rudkin Dog Park in Edmond. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the dog show starts at 9:30. Categories include best trick, best of show, best look alike and best coat. To participate, dogs must be socialized and have proof of rabies vaccination. The expo will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The event is free except for items sold by vendors.

In Norman, folks can catch a Frisbee dog demonstration at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds off Robinson. Owners Mark Seyfried and Lee Fairchild will be there as well to show off their dogs’ skills. The two men and their dogs have qualified for the Skyhoundz World Frisbee Dog Championships Sept. 26 through 28. So if you want to check them out before they leave next week, head to Norman Saturday.

I love the dog show and my dog won second place in best trick

We attended the Kazy Kids Dog Show and it was very worth it. My wife and I loved the best trick competition. I’d reccommend going if you have a chance next year. It is a local dog lovers must!
