A Hot Time in the Summer
Temperatures are climbing which means our furry friends can start feeling the effects. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has sent us a list of recommendations for keeping dogs healthy during the heat. Here are some of the suggestions. For more go to this Web site.
- Keep dogs inside
- Provide plenty of shade and water
- Don’t run, only walk, when exercising dogs
- Don’t leave dogs in parked cars
- Avoid walking dogs across hot pavement
- Don’t transport dogs in the back of pickups since the hot surface can burn their feet
- Keep an eye on outdoor dogs and contact authorities if they aren’t taken care of
