I have been a fan of Blue Bloods since it’s debut. I have been a fan of Tom Selleck’s since he was on the soap opera Young & Restless. I, for one, am thrilled that someone in Hollywood will stand up for American rights and especially the 2nd Amendment. The problem is not with guns or law abiding citizens’ right to have them. The problem is America’s lack of medical attention for the mentally ill/criminally insane. And to call Mr. Selleck, or anyone else who takes gun ownership seriously, heartless, just proves how ruthless and heartless gun control enthusiasts are in their quest to take away our freedoms. Look to Australia and you will see that guns were banned there recently and crimes skyrocketed, especially violent crimes because the criminals no longer fear entering the homes of law abiding citizens. Look to history and you will find that nearly (if not all) countries ruled by Dictators had guns banned only a few years before their citizens lost control of their governments. Look to violent crimes against citizens in developing countries and it’s ruthless armed thugs dominating the unarmed and defenseless. History always repeats itself. Too bad most people won’t learn from the past.

I’ve been a fan of Blue Bloods for some time. I couldn’t bring myself to watch last Friday and I don’t think I will want to watch again. I am so disappointed in Tom Selleck’s lack of response to the need for better gun control especially in light of his prominent position in the NRA. My one opinion probably doesn’t matter much but I wanted you all to know anyway. I’m waiting to see if he’ll grow a heart. People listen to you. You could make a difference.
