I agree with above 2 comments. Especially about Rachael Leigh
Cook who definitely is not a good choice counterpart for him.
She lacks strength and strong character. She would be more
suited in a high school role. Personally if she is not replaced I don't believe the show will survive.

I love Eric McCormick; He's the reason I checked out the series- that and the interesting premise of the show. And, so far I like it; He does extremely well in the role and the writing is not half bad; The only issue I have and the reason I may not be able to continue to watch is RACHAEL LEIGH COOK, She is horrible as the 2nd lead role. She is an awful actress and I actually painful to watch. So, I wish Eric the best of luck. I think this is a great vehicle for him as a drama series that still let's his personality show through.

While I'm not against these types of shows right off the bat I do have low expectations for this series. I say that because the norm is to take these disorders and romanticize them. This character will more than likely be portrayed as odd and out there but more quirky and loveable more than anything with a few serious difficult moments for him thrown in there to prove they are sensitive to the reality of the disorder which will be so off the mark it's laughable. As someone who works in the mental health area and has dealt with many people who actually have schizophrenia I find many of these types of series offensive more than anything. This is a serious disorder that is unbelievably difficult to deal with for the person as well as that person's loved ones and to romanticize it is disrespectful. The people who write these shows for entertainment value will never have any kind of clue what this disease does to peoples lives.
