This was a great movie. This movie along with showing loyalty and companionship, touches on the problem of Military veterans returning from battles and being diagnosed with PTSD and how it affets the vet as well as the family. I have had to put down three of my four legged friends and it was NOT an easy thing to do. This movie showed what some CARING VETS (doctors) can do when circumstances arise. I watched HACHI, A Dogs Story right before DUKE and that is another tear jerker.

this movie was great amd I am an avid dog lover. Steven Webber was absolutley wonderful in this movie. Why is it not out on dvd like all other Hallmark movies….A MUST HAVE……Where can it be purchased and when?

I missed what was wrong with Duke. Does anyone know what Duke had? I don’t think they really said during the show just wondering if anyone knows. I will be watching it again. I loved it but you do need a towel if you love animals like I do. I have a border collie in my life. Great dog movie. I love dog movies happy or sad.

Super movie – get a box of kleenex ready, it’s a tear jerker, but has a happy ending. Does anyone know who sang some of the haunting songs in the movie, while daughter was searching for her dad, and he was trying to get back to Duke? Reminds me of the lead singer for the group Train…thanks if anyone knows….

This is a very emotional movie, I cried through most of it,I am a very emotional person with great attachment with my 7 dogs. The dog DOES NOT die but the movie is very gripping and poignant. A must see….
