“The Vampire Diaries”: An “original” episode

It was an action-packed episode of “The Vampire Diaries” this evening!
We found out the significance of Elena (Nina Dobrev) being a doppelganger and more background on vampires - particularly that there is a group called “the originals” – and if Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is any indication – they’re going to be colossal adversaries for Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley).
Rose (Lauren Cohan) is a compelling new character and it should be interesting to see where Caroline(Candice Accola) and Tyler’s (Michael Trevino) connection goes.
Damon and Stefan’s brotherly bond also seems to be strongly re-establishing itself.
It still looks like there’s a possible romance brewing between Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Bonnie (Katerina Graham) – and speaking of romance – Damon’s words to Elena before he compelled her to forget them – absolutely rapturous!
“The Vampire Diaries” airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays on The CW.
