Hallmark Channel movie “You Lucky Dog” charms

“You Lucky Dog” definitely qualifies as a Hallmark movie and is a heartwarming story about second chances.
Natasha Henstridge (“Eli Stone”) plays Lisa Rayborn, who has come back home to a small town from New York for her mother’s funeral.
Her dad, Clay (Lawrence Dane) and her brother Jim (Harry Hamlin, “Harper’s Island”) have been running the family farm.
Their cattle business hasn’t being doing well, so Jim has been trying to stir up prospects for the ranch with sheep, with resistance from Clay.
Clay won’t even let Jim get a dog to help shepherd the sheep.
The nearby shepherd dog expert can’t get one of his dogs to cooperate with him at all and he takes her to the town shelter.
When Lisa finds out about Jim needing a dog to help with the sheep, she goes to the shelter and the recently dropped off dog warms up to her immediately.
She names her Lucky and, though she gets off to a rocky start with Clay, she does pick up sheep herding quickly.
Despite comments from people believing she had it made in New York, Lisa admits to her family another reason for her coming home.
She also meets a veterinarian who proves to be a fitting suitor and Lucky lives up to her name for some children and the vet who get caught in the middle of a wind storm and wildfires during a nature trail hike.
And, there’s also a sheep herding competition for dogs – will Lucky win?

Who is the dog on the show? Who is the trainer etc.? Does the dog have any other credits? I am sure the dogs real name is not Lucky and if it is not what’s the real name.
