Daris reunited with mom Cheryl on ‘The Biggest Loser’ — but only briefly

Three weeks ago, Cheryl George from Ardmore was voted off of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.” But she came back on Tuesday’s episode (March 30) along with the other eliminated contestants.
Two of them got to stay at the ranch to continue their weight-loss quest. Cheryl was not one of them.
“I would love to come back and finish my weight loss,” she said. “Anything but clean the kitchen.”
That’s what she told the remaining contenders during her “vote me back” speech. But she didn’t receive a vote (her son Daris couldn’t vote for her). And she didn’t win the 1,000 step challenge for the other spot back on the ranch.
Cheryl, 51, still looked happy. So did Daris. At least they got to see each other. And viewers can see the results of their weight-loss journey thus far.
Daris, 25, has the best weight-loss percentage on “The Biggest Loser” campus. He dropped seven pounds in Week 11 and weighs 237.
“I came here to go all the way,” he said. “That’s what my plan is, and seven pounds is going to do that this week.”
During her Week 11 appearance, Cheryl weighed in an 176. During her “Biggest Loser” transformation moment at the end of Week 8, however, she was down to 164.

The surge in demand is especially pronounced among students from China and India. Between 2005 and 2009, the number of GMAT exams taken by Chinese and Indian citizens more than doubled, the council said. India’s cabinet, meanwhile, has approved a proposal to allow foreign universities to set up branches in the country. Duke University has expressed interest in opening a business school in India, and other U.S. universities are said to be interested in both the Chinese and Indian markets.
