I am a 60 year old foster mom; who has had 27 children in my home over the past few years. I live in Florida, and the children play outside 24-7. There is no more lawn, no more “pretty”. I decided to move near my grandchildren, and found out that the front of my home would actually stop the house from selling. I HAVE NO MONEY TO PUT INTO IT! I AM SO STUCK. I didn’t know if you can make the front of my house over, so I can sell the house, move on, and have my grandchildren able to sit on my lap. I don’t know how you pick your houses, but I am desperate in every sense of the word. Just thought I would contact you and kiss my email up to heaven on the wings of an angel. Thanks for listening. We have lived in our mountain home for six years now. My dream was to turn our yard into a botanical garden for the many birds that visit our yard. We have got as far as planting many fruit trees, getting a small pond dug… (at a stand still) and plans to get the layout of beautiful eatable flowers planted throughout the yard to to border the wood-line. It’d be great to get some good ideas to get us on our way.

hi jason my name is ladonna. i was injured 4 yrs ago. have under gone 2 back surg. not doing well from 2 nd surg. i got my home 10 yrs ago was fixing it up until got injured. can not do much any more but would love to go out side to get sun shine in a yard full of flowers. spending time with my family help me alot. i like to have a nice place with lots of flowers, play ground area for grand kids, swimming pool so i chould exercise, and hot tup to help with back spasm. when i was able i took in teens off the street and gave them a safe home. was glad to be able to help them. most of the kids i helped are now off drugs and doing wonderful now and have familys of thir own. i do not get to see them any more but think about every day. i hope you show can help me. may be i can come out of these major depression. thank you and god bless you and the team

My husband and I have lived here about 6 years now and have been working on leveling and developing our yard. It was farm and wooded lands. Although, we have made alot of progress in cleaning up everything, now time for seating area & landscaping. I got sick about a year ago and have now had six surgeries. While I was recovering, my husband was diagnosed with gastro esophagal cancer. We were trying to add a back deck with cover because he can not sit in the sun; and an outdoor kitchen with desparately needed landscaping. We have no trees in back yard and no flowers or shrubery. All monies now go to medical bills and I would so love to be able to give him this outdoor area so that he may enjoy it some. Could you please help?

Hi, I have been a home owner for 3yrs now and due to serving on active duty for the United States Army for 18yrs I NEVER have time to do anything to my landscape in the frony or the back yard of my home. I am constantly deploying to the Middle East!! I would love for a complete landscape makeover. Can anyone please HELP!!!!

My mother who is 77 has the worst yard front side and back . Contractor from you no where started and never finished ran off leaving her with a mess. She has to look at her mistake of trusting in someone and being taken everyday. My brother and I are trying to figure out just what might be the most cost worthy way of fixing this mess and making her happy again. We are from MA, the yard looks like it belongs in some low end Arizona State neighborhood. If there is anything we can do to apply to be on the show, please send me a email.

I have the worst possible backyard. It’s constantly wet and flooded.There is nowhere to play with my 2 boys .I would love to transform it to a yard where we can play and enjoy. I am willing to devote time and effort to mak e this happen for my family to enjoy for years to come. My sons are relegatedto playing on a deck.I think it would be a great challengefor the DYI crew and makean awesome show.

Dear Jason we have a desperate landscape problem we have about 1,000 mounds of holes in our yard and was told that we need to do our whole lot over to get rid of them. These mounds of some kind of flying bugs are killing our trees. We also have a porch that leeks every time it rains even though we did everything to it.Please help if you can. If you have the time to direct me to one of your shows that did a backyard makeover that was wheelchair accessible, I would greatly appreciate it. My roommate is unable to exit the home independently as the ramp to the back yard begins its descent at the door on the back. I just wanted to get some ideas on decks, ramps, what to do with slopes, yada yada. I am not looking for a handout just some cool ideas.

Desperately seeking Jason- Hi Jason. My boyfriend, Roy, and I love to watch your show. Our front yard looks like an asteroid dropped in it. Due to heavy rain, we ended up with a huge sinkhole in the front yard. We attempted to resolve the sinkhole problem by hiring a contractor five months ago. After paying the contractor over 65% of the money upfront, he broke ground, delivered mounds and mounds of red dirt and boulders along with drain pipes and disappeared. Please help…

I do all ‘landscaping’ right now, but without a job there’s not much I can do except cut the grass. If ever you’re in Indianapolis, IN come look us up.

Hello My wife is confined to a wheel chair. when she was able she loved to garden. My weekends are spent on my commercial fishing boat here in Alaska. During the week we run a small bakery. the yards is in need of a path for her wheel chair so she can get to the garden. I just don’t have the time or money to hire it done professionally.

A year ago I sent numerous photos of our yard to you. We built our home three years ago and the landscaping around our house was never completed. Piles of dirt now showcase ragweed. Retaining walls have never been put up and I am tired of looking at dirt piles. Our yard is so bad we are ashamed to have anyone come over. My husband is extremely busy with his job (which is a 24/7 job) taking care of livestock. He is exhaused when he comes home and does not have time or energy to finish this huge project. If we had the equipment to move the dirt and build the retaining walls I would attempt to try doing it myself. We are desperate for help, no relatives close by to help. Please consider this as a project you would want to attempt. Help, this is definitely a desperate landscape!!!!

I would love to surprise my husband with his dream back yard. He is an awesome pastor and has helped so many people through distressing times. He loves ponds (and we have a teeny-tiny ugly one). He loves fountains (and ours is crumbling apart). We are hard workers and have lots of friends and family who would volunteer as well. I have taken pictures if you’re interested. Oh, my gosh! It would be so surreal. Happy 4th!

My daughter & son-in-law recently bought an old 50s house, which they love,but it has a huge backyard which is the worst eyesore you can imagine. The front yard isn’t great either. Do you ever come to California? It’s Ontario, about 45 minutes outside LA.
