Ardmore mom giving Olympic effort on ‘The Biggest Loser’

Some of that Olympic spirit rubbed off on Ardmore’s Cheryl George when she visited the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs during Week 6 on “The Biggest Loser.”
Although she came up one pound shy of being safe during the show’s weigh-in, she believes she can remain on the ranch for another week.
“The challenge is mine,” she announced during the final minutes of Tuesday’s (Feb. 9) telecast. She was balancing the stem of an Olympic-style torch on her head at the time. So was Darrell Hough, who also fell below the yellow line.
Viewers will have to wait until March 2 to see how Cheryl did in the elimination challenge, though. The show will not return until NBC’s coverage of the  Winter Olympics in Vancouver ends.
Cheryl’s son, Daris, got some great news on Tuesday’s show. Host Alison Sweeney announced that he has the highest percentage of weight loss on campus.
