Candace Muzny proves she is indeed a NASCAR contender

Candace Muzny
placed 24th in the K&N Pro Series at the seventh annual NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown Jan. 30 in Irwindale, CA.
Speed Channel carried the event live, and clips are available on YouTube.com.
Muzny was in 14th place when she retired from the 225-lap race with 17 laps to go.  She ran in the top 20 most of the event before a late race incident damaged the suspension on her No. 62 car, which she rented from Gene Price Motorsports.
Muzny finished third in the non-qualifiers race. She collected $6,200 for her 24th place overall finish, and she was the only woman to place in the Top 40.
“I had a great time racing in the Showdown,” Muzny said. “I need to thank Gene Price for the opportunity and the whole crew for making this happen. I hope we can do a few more races this year, and this race proved we can be competitive.”
Muzny plans to race the No. 92 Chevy Monte Carlo she owns in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series March through November at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina. To follow her during the 2010 racing season, go to www.CandaceRacing.com
