ABC cancels “Ugly Betty”

Although the character of “Ugly Betty” overcame a lot of obstacles, the show itself couldn’t overcome the obstacles of shifting time slots and low ratings.
According to an Associated Press report, ABC is cancelling “Ugly Betty,” but ABC promises that a proper series finale will be written.
I had hoped its new Wednesday night time slot would help the ratings, but I guess it wasn’t enough help for ABC, though they only aired a few episodes at this new time.
My first thought for the finale is that I hope Betty will end up happily ever after with former love Henry, but maybe she should end up happily ever after on her own, because that’s one of the best messages this show has promoted – being strong and independent, and that your self-worth is not based on whether you have a significant other or not.
Please don’t end with Betty and Daniel together! Their relationship is perfect the way it is.

We are so sorry to hear the show has been canceled
It has been hard to keep up with the show beause their
show time and day changed frequently. Not real fair
for them and hard for viewers to keep up.
We really like where the show was going and are sad to
see it come to an end.
I am bummed my favorite show Ugly Betty is cancelled. It was hard to know when to find it playing and not fair to a great cast. The originality, wholesome and inspiring plots, not to mention the artistic flair was so enjoyable. I look forward to the coming episodes and wish the best to all the cast and staff.
I so bummed that Ugly Betty was canceled I loved the show a lot. I at least hope the end is good. I would love it if actually Daniel and Betty end up together, in one condition which is if she losses the glasses and the brass and changes her wardrobe. It would be interesting. I’m still really sad though.
We are so sad about the cancellation of Ugly Betty. It is one of the shows we look forward to viewing each and every week no matter what day or time. There are so few funny, and entertaining, shows on the major channels and, with this one gone, there will be one less to enjoy. Michael Urie always made us chuckle and the story line was very different and always enjoyable. What is ABC thinking????? It wouldn’t break my heart if the reality shows were cancelled but UGLY BETTY, never!!!!
twop already generated some dumb ideas about what the actors should do next. i’m still grieving because Ugly Betty was my guilty pleasure.
