The Weather Channel guarantees snow on Christmas Day
Dreaming of a White Christmas in Oklahoma? If Mother Nature doesn’t come through, The Weather Channel could.
With its “Guaranteed White Christmas” contest, The Weather Channel will bring the magic of snow on Christmas Day to one location — even if the local forcast is sunny and clear. And the network will also bring along cameras to broadcast live reports with meteorologist Adam Berg and the winner.
Viewers have until Dec. 6 to enter the contest at www.weather.com/whitechristmas. It will take more than entering a name and an address to win, though. It will take a short video describing why you want snow on Christmas Day.
A panel of judges from The Weather Channel will select five finalists and one grand-prize winner based on uniqueness and creativity of the video submissions. And although the finalists won’t get snow, they will get something memorable — an autographed CD by Aaron Neville, whose single “Please Don’t Forget” is included in TWC’s “Holiday Party” CD. Oh, and a $100 gift card for www.weather.com/store.
The grand-prize winner will be announced on or around Dec. 9.
