Donny Osmond wins Season 9 of “Dancing With the Stars”

Congratulations to Donny Osmond for winning Season 9′s edition of “Dancing With the Stars.”
He worked hard and had lots of fans behind him.
Kudos also to fellow semifinalists Mya and Kelly Osbourne for being great sports and for giving gracious concession speeches.
Too bad Kelly Osbourne came in third – she was a joy to watch.
A few comments on the finals results show itself:
♦♦♦ All of the Season 9 contestants performed well in their return visits tonight.
♦♦♦ Didn’t need to see former “competitors” Jeff Ross, Cloris Leachman or Adam Carolla again.
♦♦♦ Liked Miss Piggy’s appearances, especially with Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
♦♦♦ Jerry Rice was better than Michael Irvin.
Overall, Season 9′s competition wasn’t quite as strong as it has been in the past, but here’s to hoping it’s a little more of a compelling race next time.
