SYTYCD Top 20 announced, with surprises
If you read the spoilers, you weren’t surprised, but if you didn’t …
Season six of “So You Think You Can Dance” got off to a great start. Many of the favorites from Vegas week made it through, including: Billy Bell, Russell Ferguson and Legacy. The married Dilellos (Latin dance) made it, as did Channing, the athetic contemporary dancer.
Even though (as usual) half the dancers are contemporary, this season is different because there are three — count ‘em — three tap dancers. a krumper, two hip-hop dancers, two jazz and two latin.
Controversy on the message boards of at SYTYCDism is about Paula Van Oppen, who made it to the Top 20 but then refused the invitation because she has a part in a new dance movie starring Cher. When she told the judges she had to drop out, the show DID NOT include the judges’ responses. They did look somewhat surprised, but no responses.
Should be a rollicking ride. Lisa Potts and I will dish the dirt Friday. Tune in tomorrow!
